In-depth Glue Application Instructions

You'll need (included): glue, cuticle stick, alcohol wipes, nail buffer, nail file, press-on nails

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry your hands and nails.
  2. Gently push back your cuticles using the edge of the flat side of the cuticle stick included.
  3. Using the buffer included, gentle buff the shine off your nails. This gives the glue a stronger grip. Clip and file the tips of your nails if needed.
  4. File the cuticle line of the press-on nails so that they line up perfectly with your cuticle line.
  5. Using the alcohol pads included, wipe off the remaining dirt, dust and oil from your nails, as well as the press-on nails.
  6. Using scissors, cut the tip off of your glue applicator. (Make sure to wipe off any glue that may have gotten onto the scissors, or you might glue them shut.) If you don't have scissors handy, you can file off the tip using the nail file included. Squeezing gently and slowly, apply a thin layer of glue to the surface of the nail bed. Do the same thing on the underside of the press-on nail. If you have flat nail beds, it can help to add a small drop of glue to press-on nail to help fill the gap and provide extra coverage.
  7. Meet the cuticle line of the press-on nail to your natural nail at a 45 degree angle, and slowly lower it down until it's sitting on top of your nail. The trick is to seal the base up first, and push the pressure outward towards the tip, instead of flooding the cuticle with glue. Without reversing pressure and pushing glue back in the direction of the cuticle, hold the nail in place for at least 30 seconds. (It's easier to clean up excess glue from underneath the nail that it is at the cuticle!)
  8. Keep your hands dry and avoid using your hands for at least one hour after application. The longer you wait to wash your hands or apply oils or creams, the more time the glue has to set and form a strong bond. I like to apply mine at night before bed so they can set overnight!

In-depth Sticky Tab Application Instructions

You'll need (included): sticky tabs, cuticle stick, alcohol wipes, nail buffer, nail file, press-on nails

  6. Find the sticky tab size that best fits your nail. Using your tweezers, gently peel the tab from the sheet. Place the sticky tab upside down on your nail bed, so that the curved side lines up with your cuticle. Don't remove the plastic backing yet.
  7. Gently massage each sticky tab into the nail. This will allow the tab to warm up and bond to your natural nail. (Optional: use a hairdryer to warm the tab for a stronger hold.) You'll know the plastic is ready to be removed when it starts to lift from the adhesive naturally.
  8. Meet the cuticle line of the press-on nail to your natural nail at a 45 degree angle, and slowly lower it down until it's sitting on top of your nail. The trick is to seal the base up first, and push the pressure outward towards the tip, without trapping air underneath. Hold the nail in place for at least 30 seconds. (If you used a hair dryer, you can hold the back of the nail up to a cold glass of water or an ice pack, this will allow the adhesive to "harden" and set faster. Avoid getting any water onto the skin or cuticle.)
  9. Keep your hands dry and avoid using your hands for at least one hour after application. The longer you wait to wash your hands or apply oils or creams, the more time the glue has to set and form a strong bond. I like to apply mine at night before bed so they can set overnight!

In-Depth Sizing Kit Instructions

A sizing kit is required for all nail sets, and all customers who wish to order a new shape or length. I am no longer taking orders based on ruler measurements or sizes from a previous sizing kit's shape or length.

You'll need: a sizing kit

  1. Start with bare nails. Remove any enhancements such as nail polish, gel polish, dip powder, press-ons, or acrylics.
  2. One nail at a time, test out each size against your nail bed. The correct size will fit sidewall to sidewall without digging into your skin, and without gaps of coverage.
  3. Sizing kit nails are unfinished and more flexible than the finished product. I would recommend going up one size if you find yourself applying enough pressure to make the sizing kit nail flex to fit.
  4. If you are between sizes, this is normal! Go with the bigger size and file your finished nails to fit your natural nail. I do this myself!
  5. If you have flatter nail beds and find that there is a gap between the sizing kit nail and your nail bed, I would recommend using a thicker gel glue, such as Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof or Dashing Diva Fast Bond Gel Glue. Don't try to press down the nail to fit, because the finished product will not flex like the sizing kit nail.
  6. Your sizes are not interchangeable between each shape and length. For example, if you used a Medium Almond sizing kit and want to order a set of Short Stiletto nails, your Medium Almond sizes will not correspond with a Short Stiletto set. Please order a new sizing kit before trying out a new shape and length!
  7. Write down your sizes for each nail (both hands!) and send me your sizes when you're ready to place your order.

In- Depth Removal Instructions

You'll need: a bowl, warm to hot water, liquid hand soap, skin-safe oil (such as olive oil or cuticle oil)

  1. Fill the bowl with warm to hot water (as hot as you can get it without discomfort).
  2. Add a few pumps of liquid hand soap.
  3. Add a few drops of oil to the water, and coat around your nails with the oil.
  4. Gently mix everything together.
  5. Rest your hands in the water, and wait. Feel around to see if any of the nails start to feel loose.
  6. When they start to feel loose, use the flat side of the cuticle stick to gently pry underneath the nail to allow more space for the mixture to soak in. If you meet resistance, allow more time to soak. This method helps to soften up the nail glue for easy prying. Don't continue apply pressure if the glue is still hard.
  7. Repeat the process of soaking and gently prying little by little until all nails are removed.
